I enjoy the Carbone EDP and decided to get the EDT for comparison. You get the same musk, Animalic and very seductive rose/civet/leather blend. However, it stays closer to the skin and barely forms any bubble around you. Basically, the EDT to me is for your personal enjoyment or if you love the smell of the OG but find it too strong. The EDT stays on clothes all day BUT you’ll have to dig your nose in to smell the fragrance. I like the EDT and appreciate how Balmain retained the smell from the EDP in this but tweaked the performance, as expected for an EDT.

Did not win me over
Though the fragrance lasted for hours, the scent was simply too masculine for my taste. In fact, the scent resembled that of "olive oil" and was a bit too musky. My husband nonetheless found the scent pleasant and stated he loved the smell of "new car". Not sure if that is any better, but definitely a fragrance that one can love or hate. Scent that last forever but just not the right combination .
I received this product for free from Balmain for testing and review purposes. Where should I begin? This perfume was on another level—but not in the way I expected. I had heard great things about this brand, so my expectations were high. Unfortunately, results may vary, and in my case, it just wasn't a match. One thing I will say is that the longevity is impressive—it lasts forever. I can literally shower and still smell it on my skin. The floral notes are very intense and lean heavily toward the feminine side, which I don't mind , however, the musk note completely ruins it for me. I'm not sure why the two were blended together, but the combination just isn't to my liking, some may like it , and that's great , but just not for me .

Leather and Cedar
I used this scent before leaving my house and, whike it was very strong for the first couple hours, it calmed down after a while and was more mellow. The perfume was androgynous, with a more masculine side. It had heavy leather and cedar notes, with undertones of clean soap and perhaps baby powder. It wasn't particularly feminine, just smelled like the woods and car interiors. But like nice cars. I received this product for free from Balmain for testing and review purposes.
Not a fragrance for the general public! Very complex scent
This is a VERY unique scent that can be pretty polarizing despite having beautiful notes. This is marketed as a unisex scent, but I believe on my skin it pulls very masculine. I appreciate a musky scent, but the notes of leather pull so powerfully on my skin in a way that is extremely overwhelming and bitter. I'd say it's an extremely clean yet outdoorsy scent. In some ways it reminds me of dill and very sterile laundry detergent. The scent itself performs extremely well. The projection of this scent is great—a few sprays will grab the attention of people around you a few feet away. It also lasts on the skin for nearly all day. I did not need to reapply, and it stuck to my clothes the day after. It's not a scent for those with sensitive noses. As a whole, if you're looking for a very BOLD, serious, masculine-leaning sterile woodsy scent, this would be it. This not a fragrance for the general public, this would appeal to a person with a niche take on fragrance. It's complex. I received this product for free from Balmain for testing and review purposes.

Sophisticated men's scent!
This scent by Balmain, CARBONE, is a super sophisticated cologne for men. It's the perfect scent for a date night or evening out. The scent lasts all day, and stays even after a long day out.
