At the Middle of TF’s List

Maybe it’s the myrrh. Not my favorite scent, but I won’t be returning it. I’m surprised Macy’s even allows that, with fragrance. Century 21 did not. The manager there said they can’t resell opened EDP packages, and that they have testers out on the counters to try before you buy. When I tested Myrrhe Mystere at Macy’s it smelled like a blend between Ebene Fume and Noir de Noir, both of which I love and will keep as staples. It is not a blend. It’s spicy, like something YSL puts out on their Opium line. I can get used to it, but I think I’ll need to layer it with an oud or vetiver scent to allay some of the spiciness. I won’t be buying it again when it runs out, but it’s Tom Ford—even if he sold the brand and isn’t behind the products anymore, his bottled scents are sacred. Return a TF fragrance you buy, and it’s automatically 5 years’ bad luck. I would bet anything… Get a sample and try it at home. None in the store, contact the website. Ask how you can get one.
