With its large F1.8 aperture, this lens offers corner-to-corner sharpness, making it an ideal choice for both still and video content creators. Experience the freedom of mobility with this 6.5 oz. (181 g) APS-C format lens, equipped with two linear motors for fast, precise autofocus (AF) that supports both stills and movies. The large F1.8 maximum aperture delivers expressive, naturally rendered bokeh in deep, impressive images, allowing you to get close to the subject while producing beautifully defocused backgrounds. The E 11mm f/1.8 Lens boasts high resolution throughout an ultra-wide field of view, thanks to its innovative optics. The optimal placement of three aspherical elements corrects field curvature for excellent resolution throughout the image area. Additionally, three ED (Extra-low Dispersion) glass elements effectively suppress chromatic aberration and color fringing for superb image quality. Designed for extraordinary shooting freedom, this lens is a perfect match for E-mount APS-C and Super35 cameras, providing easy handling for long handheld or grip-mounted shooting sessions. Its advanced autofocus maximizes the camera's speed potential, ensuring fast, precise autofocus and tracking performance for both stills and movies. For movie shooters, this lens is a versatile tool, offering an 11mm field of view and large F1.8 aperture for shooting subjects against sweeping backgrounds with beautiful bokeh. It's also ideal for vlogging, as the wide field of view helps capture the entire scene even when the camera is held at arm's length. The E 11mm f/1.8 Lens features state-of-the-art lens technology that reduces unwanted focus breathing and angle of view shifts when focusing. It also supports the breathing compensation function in compatible alpha cameras, further reducing unwanted angle of view shifts during focusing for smooth, high-quality movie footage. Thanks to a refined internal focus mechanism, the lens's length remains constant while focusing for ideal balance and handling. The lens also offers a natural, repeatable linear manual focus response, ensuring that the focus ring responds directly and linearly to subtle manual control. Built for robust reliability, this lens is dust and moisture resistant, providing extra reliability for outdoor use in challenging conditions. It also accepts standard 55 mm threaded front mounted filters, a rarity in lenses of this focal length. The E 11mm f/1.8 Lens is equipped with a customizable focus hold button for easy access and convenient control in any shooting situation. You can instantly switch between auto and manual focus via an AF/MF switch on the side of the lens. This lens is your perfect companion for capturing stunning stills and movies anywhere, anytime..
