The Fairbanks sling has a sole with the look of a wooden clog but is actually a lightweight polyurethane sole with rubber insert on the outsole for sure footing. The Fairbanks features an inner elastic goring as well as elastic goring built into the adjustable buckle for a comfortable and flexible fit. The cushioned footbed is lined in soft suede leather and has arch support.

Comfy but quality issues--"wood" sole flakes off

These are very comfortable and I've gotten a lot of complements. Sadly the sole started wearing out almost immediately, the "wood" flakes off and gets scratched. I've only worn them maybe 10 times and they already look terrible.

Poor quality

The shoes came in a beat up box from "Phoenix Shoes". They looked like they had been returned after being worn. The packaging was very poor. The fit was loose and the "leather" was of poor quality, very thin. The leather also looked like it was fused but was coming apart.
