Better packaging

I was really disappointed with my first online order from Macy’s. The package arrived with the outer shell severely damaged, and the item wasn’t packed securely enough to prevent it. Because of the condition it arrived in, I decided to return it instead of keeping it. This is actually the first time I’ve ever received a damaged product from an online order, so it definitely left a bad first impression. Macy’s really needs to improve their packaging and shipping quality control.

Beautiful luggage

I received the blue set (Elemental). It's beautiful! The color is more like a medium steel blue. I am very happy with the quality of these bags.

Large piece goes over weight

We have flown twice with the large piece. Each time we’ve had to repack in the airport to avoid the $100 overweight charge. We can really only fill it 3/4 full to avoid going over.

Nice Sizes

I purchased this luggage for an upcoming cruise. This is my first hardshell luggage so I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. It’s Samsonite - a brand I trust - so I’m sure it will be ok, but I’ll know after the cruise. The hardshell is thinner than I thought it would be so I’m not sure it would hold up to airline abuse if I ever choose to fly. Again, I’ll find out when the time comes. This set is, in my opinion, nicely sized. The carry on is small, and that’s good. The large piece is quite big and deep - also good - I’ll be able to get by with just one suitcase. The blue is very pretty.
