Samsonite spin on board luggage

I have not used it yet. A quick glance at the product showed that the straps and zippers were open. Was this a return?? Yet I put things together as they should be when new and could get a good view. Also there were no instructions in the up bag. After some looking around I found the direction to using the lock Ask me again in a month.
