To create a durably tough exterior, Rocky used full-grain leather and 1000 denier nylon (superior strength). A side zipper allows you to easily get these boots on and off. It's covered with a VELCRO strap. While you're on duty, Alpha Force boots keep your feet safe. They have a composite toe that meets ASTM standards for impact and compression. The boots also meet ASTM F2413 Electrical Hazard standards. Although these Alpha Force public service boots have a tough exterior, the Air-Port cushion footbed supports and cushions your feet each time you take a step. It also circulates air within these boots. The RigiTrac outsole won't leave marks, and its slip-resistance helps you keep your balance while on duty. Tough break in

Probably the toughest break in I've experienced in a very long time. A couple months in, they are still not 100% there. I have been a fan of Rocky's for years because they are a great work boot for the money. I'm thinking these will be durable and last quite a while, if I can get them comfortable. I'm a highway maintenance guy, out in all weather and quite a bit of time on a shop concrete floor, so my boots don't exactly have an easy life and neither do the feet in them. I might look elsewhere when the time comes for replacement if some changes haven't been made. I love the sole and the deep zipper.

Durable.

These are great site boots, durable and waterproof. The side zip makes it easy to get on and off fast, just make sure you keep it clean. My only complaint is if you end up working on concrete floors all day they're not comfortable. But if you work on a site they're great.

Comfortable, practical, just not durable.

I bought these about a year and a half ago, a second pair after my first ones were worn out. They hold very well for a pair of boots. I've never worn a more comfortable, form-fitting pair. They can easily be taken on and off with the zipper and adjusted with the laces. The composite toe is pretty useful; there are no issues with the inside. However, the sole has peeled off the back of the boot, and has gotten worse within the span of a few weeks. Though they were a comfortable pair, the work I put them through doesn't seem to make them last for two years before issues with the soles ruin the boots.

Sizing?

This is a US brand and I was expecting the sizing to be based on the US sizing chart, yet when I received them (I ordered a size 11) they were based on the UK sizing chart. Until I receive the reorder this review will stay as is.
