Like the pattern but not knife marks.
I bought a set of four to replenish some plates and bowls that chipped over the years. I also have plates that have dark “knife cuts” on them and looked scratched. I have tried different products but to no avail. This is what bothers me most about this set. Otherwise, I enjoy the pattern and the sizes. I use it for family but not for guests; the lines on the base of the plates bother me. I’m hoping this new set will stay pristine.
A Good Starter or Replacement Set
I love the pattern of this dish set and use them as my everyday dishes. I ordered this 16 piece set service for 4 to keep on hand in the event any of the dishes were to become chipped or in the event I needed extra place settings for a larger group. I wish the coffee mugs were a bit bigger with this set. I plan on ordering the larger coffee mugs separately when they are available. It is a very nice starter set and I am very happy with it.

Have used this pattern of dishes for 15 years, family is growing so needed additional settings, arrived in mint condition and love.
Didn't receive, can't get my money back
Ordered 3 sets, only received one. I've spent a week trying to get the rest of the order or my money back and can't seem to get anyone in customer service to assist or even understand the issue. I can't believe how bad the service has gotten, this used to be such a great place to do business.

Not the same at all
If you’ve owned Italian Countryside, you’ll be very disappointed. This is heavily glazed, the detailed pattern is blurry, not crisp like the original. The plates are a slightly different, deeper shape and heavier. I just wanted to replace some broken pieces from my set which I have loved for 25 years, but was never so disappointed. I ended up just replacing some bowls, since the difference is not as obvious with the pattern being on the outside. Also, they’re a tiny bit darker than the original, but not that noticeable. On the Mikasa site, everyone is complaining. If you’ve never owned this pattern, you might be okay with them, not knowing how different the originals were.
Incorrect Advertisement of Color
i have 8 sets of this and I LOVE IT....so i ordered more, but this color is creamy, not white. I was so distressed as the AD said it was "white". It wasn't, so i had to return all of them...

I bought 2 place settings for 4 on special last week. (I wanted coffee mugs vs cups and saucers)Both orders were delivered on time, same day, with no damage. The product is beautiful.
