Matthews20" C+ Stand with Turtle Base, 4-Pack

Over the years, Matthews Studio Equipment has revolutionized the world of lighting support with their innovative C-Stands, first introduced in 1974. Known for their durability and versatility, these stands have become essential tools for professionals in the motion picture, television, and photography industries. The 20" C+ Stand with Turtle Base and Grip Head and Arm, available in a convenient 4-pack, exemplifies Matthews' commitment to quality and functionality. The term "Century Stand" harks back to the early days of film production, when stages relied on natural sunlight and large reflectors to illuminate sets. These reflectors, often 100 inches in size, were pivotal in shaping the lighting techniques of the time. As technology evolved, so did the need for more adaptable equipment, leading to the creation of the C-Stand. Matthews' original design featured welded bases that, while non-adjustable, could nest together seamlessly, maximizing space on set.
