Terrible decision
I bought a boombox 4 in February 2026 and it had a charging issue so I used the one year warranty and tried to have it replaced, but they didn’t have the color I wanted so I decided to see if they would just send me a party box 130 instead of the boombox 4. That was the worst mistake I could have made I should have picked another color of the boombox4 because the bass on the party box 130 is pretty much nonexistent and that’s the the only reason I bought a big Bluetooth speaker was for is the bass.

Amazing product!
I'm so impressive with JBL Partybox 130 speaker. Nice for home party. The sound is loud and clear, even with the bass. I like the dynamic light effects that activate when music plays. Connecting via Bluetooth is very easy. It’s easy to carry thanks to the ergonomic handle. It’s great that I can use the app with it. Perfect for both indoor and outdoor use since it’s waterproof. The battery lasts a long time, even with the light effects on. I’m really impressed with the build quality and the overall performance. It’s a truly great speaker.

Great all-around speaker
Really impressed with the PartyBox 130 I’ve had the PartyBox 130 for a little while now and I have to say I’m really impressed with it. The new design is fantastic and in my opinion it looks much better than the older model. It feels like a proper party speaker and not just another Bluetooth speaker. The sound is probably the biggest thing for me. It’s more powerful and has plenty of bass, especially when you turn it up. It gets really loud without sounding terrible, which is what you want from a speaker like this. Battery life is also slightly better, which is always a bonus. I’ve used it for quite a few hours without having to worry about charging it. There are also additional connection options, which makes it more convenient depending on what you’re connecting to it. The LED lights are another improvement. There are more LED pattern lights and they look really good at night or in a darker room. I also really like the new LED lights at the top of the speaker that imitate eyes. I know it’s only a small thing, but it looks pretty cool when they light up and gives the speaker a bit more character. The only thing I’m disappointed about is that they seem to have removed the blinking start-up lights from the previous 120 model. I really liked that little feature and I’m not sure why it was left out. Other than that, it’s fabulous. Great design, powerful sound, good battery life and loads of fun with the lights. Very happy with it overall.

The sound is great but it died in 5 hours on fully charged, so your 16 hours of playing time is not accurate. Not happy with that, and to order a spare battery you guys didn’t even have it in stock. Big spending money on a speaker that can’t even last the hours you guys are stating.

Our JBL Partybox 130 has a published playtime of up to 15 hours which is the maximum battery time you will get when listening at background levels. As you turn up the volume, the playtime will be reduced, much like a phone battery when you brighten the screen. The same goes for source material. Music with more bass will also reduce playtime. It is possible that the battery is working correctly but depletes more quickly when the volume is very loud and/or the bass has been boosted. Battery playtime also decreases as the battery ages and all batteries, over time, will slowly wear down. Please charge the earbuds to 100% and then listen to music without any bass boosted, and at a very low volume. If the battery lasts close to the published up-to playtime, the battery is working fine. However, if you get less than 90% of the published spec, please contact our customer support for further assistance.

Only speaker you'll need
Whats not to love!!! The JBL PartyBox 130 is everything you need to take your next gathering to the next level. The one thing I hated is that I had to doqnload an additional app to control this speaker, apart from my other JBL headphones/speakers. However once I had it was a great to control the melody. The sound was fire 🔥Did I mention its waterproof!?

Impressive in so many ways.
Impressive is the word that comes to mind when I think of how to describe this speaker. This has become the game changer this summer. We take it every camping trip and use it constantly at home as well. The volume will surprise you almost as much as the quality of the sound. It’s crazy durable and easy to transport for its size. I like the versatility of the features as well. You can turn the lights on or off and Aura Cast is amazing. I used Aura Cast to connect another speaker and it felt like we had a professional DJ at our party. This speaker is so much more than just a loud speaker. The optical connection allows us to connect to the tv for incredible sound and the equalizer lets you fine tune to your preferences if one of the other options isn’t doing it for you.I recommend this speaker to anyone and everyone. You will not be disappointed I promise you. My new favorite.
