Soft, comfortable and lightweight. A beautiful and durable chair
The new INK+IVY Novak Mid-Century Modern Accent Armchair is a great, comfortable and light weight couch-style single seater chair. The assembly was super simple and straightforward - everything was easy to find and set up. It took me about an hour to assemble it which is way less than some other furniture I had bought for my house. The instructions and the packaging were definitely a 10/10. A little about the features, The chair is comfortable and not very tall which I really appreciate because any size person can easily hop on it. The best part is the weight. I’m amazed by how light weight this chair is, because my hallway is small, I often move the chair from one place to another and that’s why this chair is perfect for me. The build quality is also great. It doesn’t wobble or makes squeaky noise when you sit on it. I absolutely love the color and the modern design. Although it’s lightweight, it’s still very comfortable and it has the best color in the entire collection. I especially like the texture of the cushions, it’s not smooth at all which would make it slippery and it’s not very rough either which could irritate your skin. The only reason to give it a 4 star instead of 5 is the cushions firmness. It could be a bit softer and springy. It isn’t that big of a deal compared to the pros. The other thing is the armrest. I feel like it could be a bit wider for you to place your hands. Other than that, I absolutely loved the chair and I cannot recommend it enough. So much so that some one in my family already bought one in a different color.

Great chair but we were missing one of the locking washers so had to put it together without it.

Very poor quality
I was so excited to receive these chairs then reality hit! They are so poorly made making it so difficult to put together. The holes did not align making it impossible. After finally getting one together I thought we had it figured out. Chair #2 was actually broken and we had to dismantle #1 and return them both. The chair was very low to ground and seating was very hard to sit on.
Response from Macy's
Dear Customer, thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your experience with the lounge chairs and understand how frustrating it must have been to deal with alignment issues and quality concerns. The Novak Lounge Chair is designed to provide a modern, low-profile look with firm seating support, but we appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention. Your comments will be shared with our team to help us improve assembly precision and overall product quality.
Lovely chair!
I bought two of these chairs and they are lovely. The quality is higher than I expected at this price point. The cushions on the seat and back are very thick and supportive. The frame is solid. The fabric looks easy to clean, which is welcome because I chose a light sandy/taupe color. The chairs are stylish and look great in my living room. They would also be good in a bedroom. Good value!

Stylish quality.
I love this chair for the mid-century style and quality. The color is very pretty. I don't usually review but images always help me in deciding. As a reference, the small end table is @ 23.5' high. I wouldn't mind if it was a bit higher but it works in this space and being 5/4" my feet actually touch the ground (w/pillow)!! I added the pillow. Without the pillow you can sit further back so but there is a slight gap in the lower back that may be uncomfortable for some. Putting it together was easy but had to use slight pressure to fit the holes in the cushion piece to the side wood piece.

Beautiful Chair!
This gorgeous chair came in very well packaged with a “brand new” lovely scent to it. The color is perfect, made with real wood and high quality elegant material. It’s so comfy, my cat enjoys it too! The size is perfect! The weight limit is 300lbs. I got my husband to assembly it and he didn’t have any issues.

Durable and sleek
This is a beautiful and architecturally stunning piece of furniture. It is all hardwood. It is handcrafted to look sleek and soft and beautiful. Assembly took me about 20 minutes. The size is generous and the look of it is very pleasing. It goes with my modern contemporary.

Comfy & Simple
Beautiful and comfy chair! The material is study and the cushions are firm but still comfortable. It took me about 30 minutes to put together myself but definitely easy to navigate the instructions. It’s a lovely addition to my home.
