Melted and SOFT

I was home when it was delivered so I was able to bring it inside immediately, delivery driver was still walking to his truck, and noticed right away the cheeses were super soft and the chocolates were melted! Disappointed! I’m just assuming but I’m guessing it was the carrier who could have cared less about storing it at an appropriate temperature for transport being that it was consumables goods they opted to pick up and ensured were delivered. Now I know better than to purchase especially for a gift.

I’m torn

The item is beautiful and the selection is delicious but the chocolates were expired. Considering the expired product, I feel the item was overpriced and I am thankful I did not give it as a gift. If I had given it as a gift and then been informed by the gift recipient that it was low quality I would have felt bad.
