COMES WITH UGLY WATCH FACE

It’s a nice watch. The watch faces provided by Garmin for this watch suck! There are some other free ones that you might like, I did find an acceptable one. Most of the available watch faces are from third parties and are not free. For the price of this watch you should be able to easily get a free watch face that you like. They also don’t make it easy to find out that you will likely have to pay for a watch face that suits you.

All Good

So I have been with GARMIN for 20 years and before this Fenix 8 now. I loved my Fenix 6 pro solar and after 5 1/2 years the battery was done. So I hope my Fenix 8 can go at least 7 years.

HORRIBLE SOFTWARE ISSUES!!!

Not happy at all d/t ongoing software glitch - struggled for one month with different fixes through the garmin support line. Finally they are replacing it. Hopefully the new watch will not have the same software problem. Don't buy this watch!!!!!! DONT BUY IT!!!!!!

Great hardware. Not so much the software

This watch can be so much better. Great battery life, and very readable screen. However: I neither need nor want features related to activities I don’t do. Give me the option to remove everything related to golf, skiing and scuba. Please! I’d pay extra for the ability to declutter my watch. Fix your upgrades. Most of the time, running an upgrade changes settings, and I spend a couple of hours making adjustments so my watch functions as I am accustomed. And why is running upgrades for Connect IQ so difficult. I don’t even try anymore. And why/how did trails disappear from maps? After years of using them, they are gone. I was an endurance athlete before digital watches, heart rate monitors, etc. The Fenix is like magic. But whomever is in charge of firmware/software should find work for which they are better suited, as the Fenix reputation is being eroded. I won’t buy a Fenix 9.

Best Garmin yet!

Wears great, looks great and, has every feature I could want to support my lifestyle. The topo maps and GPS are second to none and the sensors keep perfect track of all my health metrics. In addition, the 16 day battery life ensures that I will never have to worry about my Garmin dying on me while I am out in the field. If I could rank this above a 10 out of 10 I would. I highly recommend!
