Bought this for my daughter in Dec - and it quit working with in 3 months - can't get help anywhere to figure out what is going on or to get it fixed or replaced.

Black specks
I got this ice maker for a wedding present and was really excited to use it. It worked great for the initial days but then we noticed there were visible black specks all over our ice. We took it back to crate and barrel and they assisted us with replacing it for another one. Experiencing the same issues with the second one. We’ve attempted to clean our machine multiple times and ran multiple rinse cycles. We are seeing that this seems to be a common issue with other reviews and are very disappointed

Beautiful but not worth the money
Nice looking machine, went with a name brand that I trusted. Sadly this machine doesn’t keep ice cold, so it melts immediately. If I try to save it in the freezer, it becomes a block of ice that I can’t break apart. It’s kinda noisy when running too. Ice added to drinks melts right away. Doesn’t feel worth the effort to add water to my drinks.

Had issues
This ice maker is smaller, which is nice for a smaller kitchen. However, within a few days of use, small black (maybe plastic?) pieces were embedded in the ice. I use reverse osmosis water, and cleaned the machine, so I believe it’s a defect. Also, you can’t leave ice in it without it melting. I wouldn’t recommend this machine.

This ice maker works well making ice within minutes. I put the ice in a bag and keep it in the freezer if I am not using it all right away.

Black specs found in ice
Ice machine produces ice with black specs. Everyone please look at your ice closely. We have tried 4 different ones the manufacturer has sent us and each one has the same results.

Love it!
We bought this ice maker December 2025. So far it has been working great! The ice nuggets are perfect size. I read some recent reviews and it almost seems they’re reviewing a different machine. We do not get any black spots on our ice so I don’t know what the other reviews are talking about. It is not loud. We make ice and store it in an ice contain the freezer and break it apart to use at a later time. We also scoop it straight from the machine. It’s a great machine!
