One Slice

Works fine, although seems to toast one side of bread more fully than the other. The only issue I have is with the One Slice slot. I am celiac and my toasting is to always use the leftmost two slots. If I use the One Slice slot, my bread is contaminated by the breads from other users. Does one really have to use the One Slice slot?
