Just purchased the Chefman Belgian Waffle Maker.

It looks good overall, and the base is stable, but the top is loose, wobbly, and rattles when opening and closing. My major concern is the power indicator. On maximum heat, it took about 3 minutes to show “ready.” I then turned the dial all the way to zero/off and opened the unit. After 2 minutes, the green “ready” light was still on. I closed it and waited another 5 minutes. After a total of 7 minutes, with the dial still at zero/off, the green light remained illuminated. That concerns me because turning an appliance to “off” should provide a reasonable indication that it has actually shut down. Someone could walk away assuming it is off while the unit remains powered and potentially hot. I had to unplug it to ensure it was off. Something does not appear to be working correctly. I consider this a significant safety concern and cannot recommend this product.
