Good grinder, not for all espresso
It's a good grinder for sure with many nice features, however, if you are an espresso enthusiast and like ligjt roast coffees, this grinder simply cannot handle those coffees for fine grind espresso, even after changing the internal setting, it kept seizing up, too bad because otherwise it does a fine job overall, but for espresso purists, look elsewhere.

Love this, make sure you measure your coffee after it is ground. Easier this way.

Huge step forward
Major upgrade in features over my previous 20 y/o version. These grinders are built like tanks!
Design Flaws
I wanted to love this grinder and thought I was upgrading from my Baratza Encore, but I really don't like this grinder at all. I grind in bulk because I make cold brew. The container lid has a plastic lining and moisture from washing gets trapped between the steel exterior and plastic lining. When I grind coffee, there is always moist, caked grounds around the hole of the container lid. I'm concerned this is going to lead to mold in my ground coffee. Adding to my moisture concerns is the bottom of the hopper, which can't be removed for washing. There's no way to get a dish towel in the little spaces leading to the potential of mold being ground into the coffee. Lastly, this thing creates a mess! I have grounds all over the counter and floor because the chute from the machine to the container doesn't always align right and also is not a tight fit to the lid. Sorry I don't have better things to say about it, but it's too expensive, so don't waste your money. I wish I had bought another Baratza.

Performs above price point
Great grinder, very precise grind settings that are consistent. Had my last one 7 years before it was lost in a house fire with no issue. Hopefully will get the same or more performance from this one.

Precise and Reliable Coffee Bean Grinder
This is my second Breville Smart Grinder. I have tried other brands of grinders, but have settled on the Breville. It is the best for grinding beans for espresso. The grounds are consistently ground for my Breville espresso machine.
