get the metal. Polycarbonate is brittle

Everything was in the box. Instructions were fairly easy to follow. Provides good rain protection. However, I now have small holes in every panel. No hail in our area that I know of. I would recommend going with the metal top version because the polycarbonate is not very durable and did not even last the summer.

Recommends this product

Very hard to slide panels in.

Directions were not that great and the panels we a bother putting in. Every time you slid the panels in the weather stripping kept sliding out. Very poor design. .

It was easy to assemble.

It was easy to assemble. But with the gutters, height and width we had to raised the Pergola 2" to 3" higher to fit in the open are on my deck. I'm just waiting for the snow to fall to see how strong the top is. I brought waterproof clear curtains and a Mesh Guard curtain to keep insect out. In all I like my Pergola. Thanks
