Imprecise execution

Received the set last week and have discovered several features that disappointed. Shape of spout on carafe does not allow for clean pour into cup. Hot coffee clings to exterior of carafe and drips onto counter. Basket and carafe are both tedious to clean after brewing coffee. Appreciate the precision of the pot and its thermometer.
